Paul Strauss works to make sure Washington, D.C. has a real voice in Congress and leads efforts to help the District become the 51st state.

He’s known for creative projects like the “51 Stars” campaign, where big names from sports, music, and entertainment speak up for D.C. statehood and for bringing global attention to DC statehood through the UNPO.

Before becoming Senator, he held key local leadership roles, led youth programs, practiced law, and earned both of his degrees from American University.
